NICE DRESS.jpg

Hi.

Welcome to Elite Living Health & Nutrition. My name is Laura Warren. I am a Consultant nutritionist with an infectious passion for life, health and nutrition.

My philosophy is that beauty begins within, and believes men and women deserve to be and to feel the very best version of themselves. I recognise that one size doesn't fit all, so my individually tailored programmes offer one-one coaching and corporate wellness programs. Each plan is devised specifically to meet the client's individual goals.

I take a realistic approach to each of my clients' physiology, lifestyle and personal circumstances. Part of my approach involves making simple lifestyle changes, teaching busy professionals and ordinary people how they can stay healthy 'on the go', how to integrate healthier (and often delicious!) food and ingredients into their diet, all the time keeping a positive and realistic set of targets that have the potential to be truly life-changing.

Limerick I'm your Lady and I'll be back for more.

If your like me and you get a bad auld dose of the January blues, and you long for a bit of devilment head down to Limerick for a weekend, It’s beautiful, vibrant and has a great cosmopolitan feel to it.

Limerick is great value for money too so if you like me and always overdo it over the festive season you’ll find some great value of spa weekends in January.

I decided to spoil myself as usual with a bit of pampering so my first port of call was the stylish 4-star Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa on the outskirts of the city.

I treated myself to a luxury spa treatment and a splash in the outdoor hot tub and sauna the perfect prep for a night on the tiles.

I was delighted to discover the spa used Elemis products, which have a rich exotic feel when applied to the skin. I trained with Elemis when I qualified as a beautician and I had forgotten how nice it was!

Then it was time to sort out the mop, so I headed to Ravens Hair Salon, which is handily located in the hotel so you don’t have to bother getting all done up beforehand. The staff were incredibly friendly and I was lucky to get a Mike Monrow signature blow-dry.

All that pampering can be thirsty work so, dolled up to the nines, I hit the town in search of excitement. I didn’t have far to go - Limerick city center is packed with cool watering holes of all shapes and sizes, from trendy bars to old pubs that have been there for decades. Limerick has loads of wonderful old little pubs steeped in history and everyone has its own stories to tell.

My first port of call was Myles Breen, a famous rugby pub, before heading to Flannery’s, which is owned by former Munster hooker Jerry Flannery. They really do love their rugby in these parts.

But the pick of the lot was South’s Pub, where I stayed till the wee hours chatting and having the craic with a few locals. I couldn’t understand a word some of them were saying to be honest (some said the same of my South Kilkenny brogue!) and I know nothing about rugby, but anyone I met was extremely friendly and very good fun.

That’s all I remember from the pubs, but I can recall a bit more about the rest of the city from the weekend.

My favorite part of the trip, of course, was, of course, the shopping. Limerick has a fantastic selection of boutiques and high street stores. My favorite was Brown Thomas, which can be costly, but I managed to pick up some great bargains.

I also loved the incredibly stylish O’Donnell Boutique. They have a great selection of dresses - from Badoo, De Pedro, Eliza Cavaletti and many more - to suit every occasion. Check them out online at www.odonnellboutique.com

Another favorite was Lilly Boutique, a very trendy store that caters for all ladies who just their style.

I also paid a visit to Ivory Closet, which is situated right across the road from the George Boutique Hotel where celebs such as Vogue Williams, Roz Purcell and Pippa O’Connor are regulars.

Every dress you can dream of can be found in this boutique, from simple exquisite gowns to cocktail and party dresses. And if your budget won’t meet the price tag, you can

To sum up the weekend, I pampered myself rotten, sampled delicious food, incredible shopping and met lots of really friendly people in a cool, laid-back environment.

I drank and ate a bit too much and spent far more than I’d planned to. In fact, it’d probably have been cheaper to get on that plane! But I don’t for a second regret checking out all the delights Limerick had to offer and I can’t wait to go back for more.
